i will be the intern!
next year, my senior year, instead of going to votech half the day, 3 or 4 days a week, i will be working for the network admin. for the school district i'll be going around to different school sites to fix problems that are acurring from the little brats who mess with the computers.
i'm the first one to get to do something like this, so we are still working out the game plan. but they will be paying for my gas, that is already known:p haha, suckas! the gas hog truck strikes again!~ |

Cool deal, sounds like it could be fun just remember not to beat the lil hoodlums that f up the puters and I think I'd be using premium whenever they pay for it , you know our trucks only like the best

Beware of the missing mouse balls and demand that they go with optical mice otherwise you will spend a lot of money on balls. If you are working on a machine with a slot CD rom rather then a tray, be noted that if 2 student ID's are inserted at the same time, only one will be ejected back out. Usually is a good idea to use a program like Deep Freeze or some other lock program to protect the computers OS. And if you are using a finger print scanner for ANYTHING, keep a watch out for the kid who puts super glue in it.
Some experience has taught me these things.

Hey Eric, brotha, welcome to the world of sweetness. That's what I did for 2 years, then I just went to strictly a single site tech. (Got bored driving around all day and seeing numerous stupid people. Now I just see the same 20 stupid people daily, LOL) Seriously though, congrats man. Working for school districts rule

Just don't come work for our school district . . . one of my friends hacked the school's computers and the network adm. had to resign because he was a dumb ass. Now they are being Nazi about the computers and nothing works right. Long story, but it was only half my friend's fault. The other half was the ignorant school board.

Haha @ Tyler! Actually, they almost hired ME to be a network tech for Turlock..BUUT they went with "The Other Guy", which turned out to be a bad choice, since a high school student was able to hack into the system.

A friend of mine who graduatedthis year did a similar type thing. He was second in command on the entire school network it was pretty cool. He had all the admin passwords and access through the whole network. He could log into any computer on the network and see what people were doing kind of like big brother, We used to mess with 9th graders who were playinggames instead of doing their work. He's going into the Air Force now after he gets out he's going to do the Computer Forensics Program at Redlands. He's gonna be a spook someday like I'm gonna be. Congrats Eric enjoy the powertrip it can be fun.

The schools around here are in a massive financial crunch. Must be why they're getting the students to do some of the schools admin. work!
j/k, sound cool. Wish I could get my gas paid for! |
