How to find an old truck?

I would like to start a search for my Grandfathers 1961 Chevy truck. He died in 69 and it stayed with my uncle for a few years after. Where is the best place to start this process? How can i find what the Vin# is?

Re: How to find an old truck?

You could always do what Papa Johns founder did:

Other than that, if you don't have any leads as to who bought the car after your uncle, your going to have a tough tough time tracking down a specific old farm truck.
