My new 63 Suburban!!
WooHoo. Many of you know me, and I tend to go through cars/trucks like some people buy magazines..lol
Anyway, I just sold a 65 short step, and wanted another burb like the 63 I had last year. So as the planets align, I sold the 65 and already knew of a 63 burb forsale. But it was 530 miles away. So I make the deal, we get truck n trailer, drive what ends up being 1100 miles roundtrip in 25 hours... We left Ohio and went to central CT. Was a long, tiring trip, but Im thrilled. Its a 63 with a early 70s 400sb, TH350 automatic, 79 K10 6-lug rearend with 2.76 highway gears sitting on the trailing arms. Has a 80s truck steering box with power steering, 71 power brakes, 72 2spd wipers. Runs and drives as good as my wifes 94 Caprice wagon. The PO was hard into these trucks in the 80s and 90s, and built this as his daily. He since moved on to a 63 long step 3/4t built to pull trailers. It doesnt have og seats in it, which isnt a issue with me. I do have a og front seat that Im gonna sell or trade for some old bucket seats. Anyway, heres a pic of the new one.

Re: My new 63 Suburban!!
The plans are....
Well, its changed 8 times since I brought it home sunday I have it done in my head 3 different ways. I may go one way for the last few months of this year, then if it still lives with me by late fall, it'll get a makeover.. No sense doing anything too drastic this late in the cruise season. It is Ohio after all. Right now Im trying to get interior seating situation under control. Im gonna sell the og front seat, try to find some cool old tbird or mustang, or mg bucket seats, and find a cool rear seat for my kids. Outside of that, some minor alttitude adjustment, and paint da wheels, and buff the stink out of it, Im just driving it everyday.
