Officially a 1 ton
Spent this past weekend swapping in a Dana 60 and 14 bolt along with a 6" lift. I spent this past winter accumulating all the parts and going through everything. I picked up the Dana 60 and 14 bolt off of craigslist for $775 and then rebuilt the kingpins, and put in all new bearings and brakes all around. The front lift consists of 6" Skyjacker springs I bought from a member here and Offroad Design heavy duty shackles. The rear lift is an Offroad Design shackle flip, 56" springs out of a 3/4 ton pickup with a zero rate block, and 5" shackles from DIY4X. I also used new greasable polyurethane bushings on everything. The shocks are bilstein 5150's. I'll get more pictures as I get more time to button everything up. The tires are 36 x 12.50 x 16.5 Swampers and the diffs have 4:10 gears.

Haven't driven it yet. I had to pull the gas tank to install the shackle flip and I ran out of time and didn't get it back in or the new brake lines installed and blead. I still need another day or two to finish everything up.

Thanks for all the compliments. My friends have been giving me a bunch of crap for taking so long to get it to this point but I only do a little at a time as I have extra money. I'm not into racking up credit card bills. I will get a lot more pictures when I get it all completed. It's hard for me to stop and take pictures once I get started. I am going to try and sneak out of work early today to get some more done.

I guess that was one positive for me about a crappy economy. The guy had them on craigslist for $1100. I offered $800, he said $850, I told him I would be there within a week since I had to drive a few hours to get them, he called the next day and said if I could get there within 2 days they were mine for $775. I left the next morning. It may be overkill but I figure it was cheaper than regearing the 1/2 ton stuff.

It just takes patience and searching for good deals. I got the tires and wheels with all the lug nuts off craigslist for $500. Front springs for $100. Rear springs out of a low mileage truck at the junkyard for $90. My Christmas list is usually all truck parts.

It's just a fuel pressure gauge built into the dual inlet. It's a Summit item.
