87 Sierra 4x4 Fuel Injector Pod issue
Dear everyone,
I just finished posting my introduction thread in another part of the forum and surprise... I have a question. I just purchased a 1987 sierra 4x4, the engine is a TBI 350(I believe), I'm doing some other safety certification work(brakes, etc.) on the truck and left the vehicle for a week and now the Injector pod sprays no fuel when turned over, I can hear the fuel pump cycle when I turn the ignition key, and it started a week ago with no problems. Any ideas? Dave |

Dave check the injector plugs for power. They should have power with ignition on. the ECM controls the ground to fire the injector. You may be able to find a noid light. http://www.sjdiscounttools.com/otc7187.html It will check both the power and the ecm function. It will flash as the injector cycles. Jay

Re: 87 Sierra 4x4 Fuel Injector Pod issue
I have discovered that I'm a bit of a dumb-dumb, found a shut off switch that one of the previous owners must have added, I threw the switch a few times last week and left it in the off position, went camping, then forgot about the switch until, now. Thanks for the help though.
