67 - 72 cross shaft seals?
I thought I could just buy the seals, but everyone wants to sell me a kit with new shafts, caps/nuts and the seals. Does anyone just sell a seal? My shafts are in great shape and can't justify the $30 for a total kit.

I was told that because of the torture the shafts go through, it is highly advisable to replace. I replaced after my "senior" mechanic friend told me it would be best.

It probably would be better to replace the whole shafts, but you can buy the seals from LMC Truck. I got just the seals for my '64 uppers though and they weren't a very good fit. Shoulda just done the whole assembly.

Thanks for the input guys. Hard to believe a 1.5" diameter shaft could need replacing, but it is 40+ yrs. old.
