Pinstripe it in the bottom right corner? Black paint btw it will contrast nicely

Re: Shaved tailgates with painted sayings on them

The tailgate of my Blazer had a missing tailgate latch and a broken rear window glass crank. I recently took the inner inspection cover off and fixed everything. While I had it off I free-handed "BRUISER" on some stencil paper. I shot the inspection cover semi-gloss black and then laid the stencil over and shot the the name on with engine paint, GM Corporate Blue.

The cover is ribbed, so making it perfect wasn't the idea since it's on the inside. It looks very nice, kinda like graffiti, and just like I wanted it. I have a silver paint pen somewhere, when I can find it I'm going to get my family to sign it and all my friends that have helped me with this project and all those who ever will.

When it comes time to paint the truck I'll get another inspection cover and have it painted the truck color. At that point I'll have the choice of which one to run.

I'll post up a picture tomorrow.

That's really cool.....I might have to try to find a signature from something my Dad signed and see if I can have it transferred since I'm restoring his old truck.
