sorry guys but another 700r4 Q

i know i know its like beatin a dead horse.....but my internet is realy slow tonight its takin me like 10 mins to load one page .... so if some one could help me that would be awsome i got a 1978 chvy c-10 originaly had a 350/350 now has 383/700r4 well kinda... i herd that the original crossmember just has to get moved back so i was trying that but the crossmember makes the 700r4 sit way to high like to get the member to sit right on the frame rails the tranny allmost has to go threw the floor is there a different crossmember that i should use?!?!?! thanks for all your help!!!!

i had no problem using my stock th350 crossmember but when we put in my 700r4 we found evidence of a previous overdrive install?? so mine might not be a stock th350 crossmember as mine was a long tailshaft version if that means anything

hey does the passenger side of your crossmember unbolt into 2 pice's* ?

Mine uses the factory crossmember just moved back about 2 inches. It's a one piece crossmember.

thanks man looks the same as mine i think ur just missing a small triangle pice one last question did you solid mount your tranny to the cross member? by solid mount i mean metal to metal no rubber bushing?

there is a rubber tranny mount.
