Need rear axle tube diameter.

I am at work and have some free time today and was going to try and design a front hanger for a parrallel for link for my 85 c10. I don't know the axle tube diameter for the stock 10 bolt and I wanted to make mounts for the front that will mount on a mchined piece of 4140 the same diameter of the axle tube. Can anyone tell me the diameter? I am thinking 2.75" for some reason but not sure if that is correct. Also if anyone has a frame or stock hanger near by, I would like to know the distance from top rail to bottom rail of the frame and how far it is from the mounting tabs on the stock hanger to the frame. (inside tab to fram, and outside tab to farme)

Re: Need rear axle tube diameter.

Threw this together real fast. You get the idea, but it is not to scale. Just a rough draft. I am thinking about changing it so that the lowest part will not be below the frame.
