Re: 80s auto column
The one issue with the '73-'87 pickup steering columns is that they are larger in diameter that the original columns. Also they have the ignition switch in the column. The diameter can be trimmed to fit, and the ignition switch removed, and the hole filled. However a better fit into these older trucks are steering columns from fullsized vans from the '70's and motorhomes thru the late 80's, possibly into the 90's. They have a smaller diameter and no ignition switch. I have 2 columns from 1989 motorhomes that are like this. I don't know if that is something that would be possible to find there in Kuwait.

Re: 80s auto column
Do you just want to switch to auto and have the 80's column already? Like CaptainFab said- there are other options that are easier.

Re: 80s auto column
I was just saying with you being in Kuwait- I did not know what your access to parts- especially vintage might be. Like CaptainFab said the better fit would be a column from a 67-72 truck or a van or motorhome that the key is still on the dash.

Re: 80s auto column
it depends...let me till you some thing...the most is what i pay for the parts = what i pay for shipping...importing the parts from states to my truck cost me more than 15 thousand
the average cost is too much

I never had the stock steering wheel, but it should fit.
