New Member saying Hi with pics

Hey guys, been reading this site on and off over a year or two and figure I would join as there seems to be a good wealth of information on here. I have a couple of projects I am working on and one that is almost finished. The burb is a 66 with an LT1 in it and I get an honest and respectable 18-21 mpg on the freeway, it gets driven everywhere and has logged 5000 interstate miles in 5 years, rock chips to prove it also. It has 4 wheel disc brakes, airride suspension, lt1 with 700R4 and 308 gears. The big window longbed is a new acquirement and is fully loaded, the shortbed big window is a factory ac truck and I am rebuilding it to stock specs with every option. I figure if it looks like the black one I saw a pic of I will be happy.Definately alot of nice rides on here and I come across these trucks all the time so maybe able to help a few guys out.

Re: New Member saying Hi with pics

hey, welcome and thanks for the pics - those are some nice trucks - especially the burb, VERY nice. what's the gauge you have mounted in the left side of the dash opposite the factory tach? Just curious - looks right at home, and my left inst bay is pretty empty...

Welcome to the forum. Beautiful burb, and like Stacked78 I don't really even care for them. There are many excellent examples on this site, but yours is so sweet even I would enjoy owning one like it. I really like the entire dash and steering wheel also.

Welcome to the forum

That is a very nice Suburban, I wish mine got that kind of mpg. What vehicle are the seats from? They look like they fit well, particularily the rear/middle seats.

Re: New Member saying Hi with pics

Thanks guys, Woog, the seats are out of a 01-06 2 door Tahoe or Yukon. They are the only ones that flip forward, the rears are third seats from a Yukon. All have integral shoulder harnesses so are safe for kids. It seats 8 comfortably with lots of leg room. The 65 long bed I just picked up for 2k and it actually has all the softray glass, even the front windshield is original with no cracks or chips. I did buy it for a parts truck for my shortwide, as it is a driver.

Re: New Member saying Hi with pics

Welcome over to this site, You probably don't remember me but I am the guy that had a picture of your burb on my computer at work as my home page. I also had asked you about your tach and steering wheel. I hope your able to do exactly what you want to your new trucks, and your burb is still the best looking truck I have seen in a long, long time. SEE YA
