I am assembling my frame righ now with a TCI setup because that is what came uninstalled with the truck. I have purchased items from Horton's Welder Series and have to agree with MrChev48 - they are first rate laser cut top quality. DW is a first rate guy, too. If you are any good with a MIG then the Welder Series will save you the dough you can use on other aspects of your project. Good luck.

When you look at NLE look at his alingment bushings Vs. Scotts.
This is a 51 Chevy with a Scott's I F S

It looks like scotts are adjustable on both A arms and NLE looks like just the upper A arm is adjustable.The NLE shows a sway bar on his kit does Scotts require one?

This one is a option and not completly connected from Scotts

Good luck with it and keep good track of your cost to get all the other little pieces...

looks like your still going to need a couple springs a rack,steering shaft adaptor, tie rod ends, bolts spindles,rotors.brake calipers/pads and a REALLY good tape measure....

Having done some the old school way theres a reason to go with a complete unit that just slides under the frame...don't get me wrong I'm all about saving some $$$$$ but I have learned sometimes you have to suck it up.....

my complete front end kit will cost me MAX. $ 1 000.
i just bought the rack for $89.00
springs i have a set at home free
outer tie rod $15.00 each
drop spindles $100 ebay special
rotors i have a set at home free
galipers $15.00 each
Galiper bracket $50.00

And its easyer for me to install the mustang II crossmenber and also i dont have to do front radiator suport if i ad use a camaro clip .

and were i live a camaro front clip is not easy to find they are all rusted so i need to change almost everything on it so its the same price for me to do it .

So no problem i will post some pictures

Kool I love using up parts I have laying around too...as a matter of fact thats how my truck started before...well....it morfed itself....and trust me I live in the same climate (your about 2 1/2 hours from me) so I understand the rust thing!!!

I was just trying to figure out how close a front end from one of the Manufacturers was when your done?? I use Scotts stuff with great luck because of the price and ease of fab..basicly assemble it roll it under the truck square it up and weld it in...( I was just thinking make sure you have a fender close at hand to center up the wheel)...Hopefully he'll have my burb done and then I can tow a trailer full of some of there stuff to some of the shows up here..like maybe the street rod nati's in burlington or up in Montreal..not to mention Carsile or any of the 100 big shows around here....and show off some of his work on the east coastat the same time......lol

On a side note have you thought about going with a coil over up front to ditch some weight or are you just going to make it a street pounder???

i bought my 1957 to replace my 1979 truck that the body is starting to be rusted ,
and i was supossed to keep it original but after looking at members trucks on the forum i change my mind and i will do a pro street look but with minimum money in the truck , and it will be also my tow truck for my Altered fiat topolino .

So no i dont put coil over in the front but maybe in the back if i remove the leafs to install 4 link ???
