Need some help with my carb!
Hey guys, i'm having a problem with the quadrajet on my 86, more specifically the choke. Basically, the choke is on all the time, and will not open up. I can manually open it at idle, but once you give some more rpms, it closes again. Do any of you have any ideas? Thanks.

Check and see if the power wire has voltage going to it.

Re: Need some help with my carb!
you should check your choke pull off also.pull the hose off it and decompress the plunger and put your finger on the hole if it stays in its good and if it goes back out it junk and you need a new one.

Re: Need some help with my carb!
When you are done fiddling with your choke, install a manual choke - choke problems solved forever - you control opening and closing the choke and by how much.

Re: Need some help with my carb!
I might have to try that also. I tried turning it, but that didn't help.....I just put a zip tie around mine to hold it open
