Airbags On A G-body

When installing airbags on a g-body frame do you have to use a spacer between the airbag and the upper frame? Also how much of a spacer do you need?

Fat Mike-

Are you talking about the front or the rear? G-body kit was purchased from Air ride. I can measure the spacers if you indicate which ones you were referring to.

Re: Airbags On A G-body

I am referring to the front bags and I am using firestone 2600. I know you have to trim the housing out and make sure that the bag does not rub but I think the part I am talking about is the airbag upper cup.

On mine uses upper cups. I think that they are about 4" in height. You might be able to check the Air ride site to see if it lists any dimensions because it will be hard for me to measure mine with it up in the frame. They sold it as a g-body kit.

Thanks
Marc

Re: Airbags On A G-body

I found out that they are 4" and they did give dimension on them. With the help of Thomas at Aftershock Customs, alocal shop, we built are own.

Re: Airbags On A G-body

I made a pretty good guess, since it has been quite sometime since I saw mine out.
They look pretty easy to make once you know what size to make them.

Good luck
Marc
