Question Need help finding BFG-like tires for a 10" wide x 15 Rim

Hi guys;

I need to find tires asap I can buy that would fit my rims as I'm deciding my drop stance this week.

My fronts are 8.5 x 15's (the last picture), and I was going to buy 255 / 60 / 15 BFG Radial TA's & going with 3" drop spindles and a 1" drop coil (4" total drop & 27" high tire)

My rears are 10 x 15's, and I was going to go with 275 / 60 / 15 BFG's & go with a 4" drop hanger & shakle and remove the overload leaf (5" drop total & 28" high tire)

But my guy at TireTech.com says my rims are too wide for that rear tire size and he doesn't have anything else exect a 305 drag strip tire.

I did see a guy up here that ran 235 - 60 R15s front & 295 - 50 - R15 rear but the tire height is only 26" and I think that might look silly even with my drop...I don't know though, I'm getting frustrated as I've been dealing with truck problems all week.

Help & suggestions please!!!

I ran 275-60-15's on 15x10" wheels for years. Never had a problem.

Take a look at the thread below. It is of one of the nicest looking trucks on the board and still wearing 15's with BFG's. The sizes you listed are what he is running exactly.

Tiretech.com must not fit custom wheels and tires, therefore they go off what the computer tells them will fit and alot of times the computer is wrong. A BFG 275/60/15 tire is 11"s wide, your 15x10s measure 11"s total. Should be about perfect with no tire bulge.

My truck wears 275/60-15's BFG's all the way around. No issues what so ever.

I've run BFG 275 60 15 on 10" wheels on my old Novas and Chevelles years ago. Never had a problem. It's a recommended wheel size for that tire

I think you've all anwered my question....I'm going to order 255 / 60 / 15 BFG Radial TA's & 275 / 60 / 15 BFG's tomorrow.

Thanks for all the replies, it's very much appreciated!
