68 coil spring3/4 ton
I looked at a 68 3/4 longbed for sale this weekend and it has coil springs . It looks to be original with 8 lug axels but I thought that chevy only made 3/4 ton with leave springs. The coils apear to be alot thicker than a half ton. If any one knows if this is orignal how rare are they? How many years did they make them? the first 6 numbers are CE248Z.

3/4 ton coils aren't rare at all. 67-72 are interchangeable. For leaf springs you're thinking either GMC, 4x4, or 1 ton...

I have a 70 with rear coils (HD) and helper springs. Getting rear drop springs in it now, just 2" (I think. bought em used, you know.. ). We'll see how it ends up, may have to drop the front a bit too.
