poor ole jimmy

i purchased this very rotted 72 jimmy for parts but i have decided to make it a mud toy since it runs so well... i will only be using this for off road so i decided to make my own poor mans lift kit. i used the bottom three leafs from a rear set of 72 springs i had and combined them with the top front leaf for the front springs. it looks like a pretty good arch, we will see what it looks like with them installed soon. i hope to clear theses 35s my buddy gave me. i will add more pics as i progress.

I haven't ever seen a pre-73 leaf but I imagine you gained a good 3-4 inches if they're anything like the 73-87! Nice tires too, and the K-5 looks like a lot of fun!

Re: poor ole jimmy

Looks very nice. I've added springs to my plow truck packs for the last 8 years worth of trucks. If you haven't checked out my truck build you'll see some pretty hefty packs in the front. I may end up taking some out once I actually drive it.
