Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Some days are just more rough than others. I had a rough one today. It's all about paint. I sprayed the interior of the doors and left them in the "sun" all propped up and tacky on the back of the utility trailer. While I slept, the daughter and son-in-law's dog decided that the trailer was a good place to lick my paint. He licked, or rubbed, or whatever else, until he ruined the paint on both of them. Maybe it's a blessing of sorts, since the paint didn't lay down very well on the jams, anyway. Then, I fought with the steering wheel mod for a couple of hours. I think I've got that one....Now to figure out "how to" on the horn with that custom set up. Yesterday, when I did what I thought was the final mock up on the completed dash, I found a run down the upper-right side of the dash bezel. I sanded that today, and repainted it in gloss black...a nice contrast with the flat I used on the inside portion. I was happy with it. Until I mocked it up for the final-final. Yup! I found another earlier run that I missed the first time. I left the shop, came home and made a cup of coffee and took a nap. Tomorrow's another day.
