Re: Let's try this again.

That is SWEET... I was eyeballing (or eyeblueballing, I guess, now that it has a name like that...) on ebay a short while ago. If I didn't already have my truck, I'd have, well, you know! LOVE this little truck. I'm excited to see that someone that bought it is gonna share in it's build too - really enjoyed your last one Delmo. Thanks for posting, looking fwd to the thread. Very cool truck. Any general plans yet? Wait, lemme guess, you might lower it for starters?

Re: Let's try this again.

It is a nice truck. I think it is nice the way it is. If anything just do some body work and paint it. Looks like a nice truck to keep stock.

Re: Let's try this again.

His 65 still retained it's original appearance. The 'trendy' wheels were even disguised w/an original period look. The only thing 'major' was the height change & suspenion swap.

Delmo,

Post-up some more pics when you get the chance.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...d.php?t=432506 Here is what it would look like with fresh paint in that color. The first picture of course.

In the "hood" shot picture when I saw it on ebay, it displays some very cool patina (hard to see it well in the rear qrtr shot posted here) - but to me it really does look cool just like it is - and is a perfect candidate for no touchie the (remaining) paint... But hard to say, this things gonna look good no matter what - new paint it would look killer - as is, it will look killer.

Re: Let's try this again.

Thanks guys. Man this truck runs and drives so nice it's going to be hard to change anything on it. But.....being the big kid that I am ( maybe not as big of a kid as Dino)but I will more than likely take it down to the bones and give it some love.
One day when I grow up I will have a nice freshly painted truck that I never drive. And believe me I agree that this truck would look great with shiney new paint but until then Ol Blue Balls is keeping his O.G. coat. I gotta say I am loving this side trim.
Thanks to all that didn't out bid me. LOL.

Re: Let's try this again.

Delmo, I got out early on the bidding ( I was watching to see what Boris was bidding) . I just got a Oklahoma 66 c-10 big back window 283 glide truck long bed. You did well, really dig the trim on the 60-61 Apache that rear trim below the back window is a very hard to get .

The hub caps are killer, they would look great on your Centerline Smoothie set up ????
