4l60e interchangeable?

What needs to be done to make a 4l60e from a 97 or 99 z28 work with my 2006 5.3 truck motor? My harness is also 2006

Re: 4l60e interchangeable?

I had one out of a '95 caprice laying around and had thought about putting it behind my 2002 vortec. I'm not 100% but if I remember right, but they switched them to a pulse width modulated pump in '96 on rwd cars and '97 on trucks I was told that mine would not interchange. From those points up, I am pretty sure they are electronically the same, so yours should work. if you are using one that has the case and bellhousing for a genI/II (one piece case and bellhousing), I think you will need to get the flexplate spacer for running a th350/400 behind a genIII/IV engine.
