Custom dash panel. Looks easier to use if you want to install new gauges!
Someone may have already posted this but I just found them.
I figured if they are flat on the back it would be way easier to put gauges behind this bezel than a stock one. then again how would you connet them? They have them for 6" tach and speedoes as well. Anyone bought one of these yet? http://www.classicdash.com/shopping/...out-Wiper.html Molded UV resistant ABS center dash panel with a Black Finish will replace the stock unit exactly.. The drilled hole sizes are 3 3/8 Speedo and Tach and 4 Gauge Holes - 2 1/16 inch. Details SKU 130-73-80921 Price: $259.95 Last edited by Hazieview; 01-13-2011 at 03:37 AM. |

They even have blanks so you can do your gauges any way you want. I think that is pretty cool!

It would be cheaper than forking out $260 for the bezel linked above, then the additional $500 or so for quality gauges.

pretty cool... good option if need to replace your bezel anyway, especially if converting to a 700r4 without a mech speedometer...

Re: Custom dash panel. Looks easier to use if you want to install new gauges!
I have been thinking about these but they are made by Covan's and based on other models I have seen and people I personally talked to, who have ones (not the 73-87 models), they are kind of cheap, thin plastic and question how long they will last. The ones I have seen, they are definitely not the thick GM quality type plastic.
So the big question, does anyone here have one for the 73-87 trucks? Opinions?

Yeah especially when LMC's are $150 a pop.
http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cc/full.aspx?Page=110 Although that blank one would be nice to do my touchscreen dash idea!
