Wheel opinions please.
Hey guys I am not new to the forum but this is my first post. I have a 67 chevy lwb 8 lug truck. i currently have custom intro 18x9.5 and 18x8 wheels. I am converting to a 5 lug wheel. Trying to loose some weight and make the truck handle a little better.
I really like the stance of my truck now but I am having a hard time picking out new wheels. I like the foose nitrous wheel that a few guys seem to be running but I also really like the Boze shifter wheel in gunmetal. I also like the boze tach wheel. http://www.bozeforged.com/shifter.html Both wheels are quite expensive. I am thinking I will stay with 18 inch wheels but maybe 20. Please let me know what you think of these wheel or if you think something else would look better. Your advice is greatly appreciated thanks Brad |

Re: Wheel opinions please.
what is your current drop, and what are the stats on your current wheels(backspace, tire size, etc.)? Are you running wheels spacers?
I must say why mess with your current setup? it is EXACTLY what I want for my c-20!

Re: Wheel opinions please.
I am not sure of the backspacing. My truck is at the shop but I believe the tires are 285 wide in back and 265 up front.
I do like the look of it now, but I have quite a bit of power right now and I would like to upgrade my rear end to posi. Right now when I get on it it just spins the tire. Since I need to get a new rear end I thought it would be a good time to lighten up the truck and go to 5 lug. |

Re: Wheel opinions please.
do you have drums or discs in front? that's probably the biggest un-sprung weight savings and you can keep your current wheels.
What is your rear end now? depending on what it is you can get a detroit locker for well under $400. that will certainly get rid of your one wheelie peelies!

Re: Wheel opinions please.
I have disc brakes up front and drums in the rear. The rear end is a ho72. It is a full floating axle.

I would probably only upgrade/ re-bush your panhard bar out back and get a beefier sway bar up front. look in the for sale section on here for NO-SPIN center sections for that HO72. you'll be able to drop one in that rear end pretty easily and it will take the power well.

Re: Wheel opinions please.
Wheels will either make or break the look of a truck, IMO i would go with the Boze Shifter wheel in chrome Nice looking wheel and because your truck is long bed i would do 18's in the front and 20's in the back to give it that hotrod stance nice truck by the way...
