Re: buckets to bench
I have a bench from a 88-94 truck in mine. It's thinner than the stock bench, so it goes back a little further. It was in a parts truck I had, but it looks like they just put in a block of steel tubing to make the adapter.

Re: buckets to bench
I had the same 88-94 bench in my 84 K5, and it was not long enough. It was close but seemed like when you centered it (from side to side) it felt as though you sat to the right of the steering wheel. Some might not notice, but I didn't likle it.

Re: buckets to bench
I think the 81-up seats may be a little thinner, but any 73-87 bench should bolt right in.

Re: buckets to bench
suburbans have a flat floor where the pickup blazer have the hump floor so you will have to modify the bracket for those to work in you burb.

Re: buckets to bench
Not quite. The Blazer has the flat floor; the Suburban has the humps similar to a pickup or crew cab.

Re: buckets to bench
But he's looking to put a bench back...so a swap should be straight forward. Save those inner bucket brackets!
