Re: Bagged truck headers?
yea if it was a 4 link it would be easy well kinda because of the c notch going over the axle would be tough to say the least........right now I have 90* turn just before the arms but still have to go under the frame...I have seen some go thru the frame but I still work this truck carrying a slide in camper, firewood or what ever so I dont want to comprimize the fram any futher or cut the bed floor

here's a new link to the headers: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CHEVY...Q5fAccessories and a link to the store: http://stores.ebay.com/whiteperformance1 These would work just fine, mine are stainless steel I doubt you want that. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/WLK-41438/ |

Re: Bagged truck headers?
I put a 350 out of a mid 70's Camaro into my '69, headers and all. It came out of a donor '75 truck. The '75 frame had less clearance in the rails than my '69 did, but it fit in there, too.

Re: Bagged truck headers?
I used a set of headers from a guy in OKC, OK (craigslist) they are coated, have a 3/8" flange and are for a 68 Camaro or Nova. (we did have to shave the frame slightly....on the passenger side, here is a link to a picture showing the amt that sticks below the frame......
http://kieth.smugmug.com/Trucks/66-G...970_g7MqS-A-LB I will find the link if you are interested......Kieth---oh cost $225.00 Last edited by kieth; 01-28-2011 at 12:24 PM. |
