Guys,

I've never seen a turbo setup up like this before. I'm getting ready to install a turbo on my diesel, so that's different, but all turbos are the same in this regard:

The suction side of the turbo is the center part facing the front of the engine. The output side of the boost is on the top. The exhaust is on the second turbine, towards the back of the motor. That means this particular setup in this truck is sucking air and fuel from beneath the carb, and then blowing it all back out of the turbo and back into the engine. I don't know where it is forcing it in at, perhaps in the rear of the intake manifold. I can't see where the pipe is connected to behind the carb.

I would imagine that the carb is setting on the air intake in a way that the fuel and air are bypassing the intake manifold, and rather is going directly into the turbo. The turbo is then forcing it back into the intake. It's setup just like a supercharger, with the blower between the intake manifold and carb. However, I didn't know a turbo could work that way.
