Do you have your body on yet? Was wondering if they cleared the shifter linkage.

Help me out with a measurement if you would. I'd love to know the height from the very top of the upper primary to the lowest point. Thanks

Re: Dynatech MuscleMaxx Headers

Looks like a good fit. Did you have to do any thing to make them fit? What mount plates you using?

Re: Dynatech MuscleMaxx Headers

I'm using the dirty dingo mounts around the stock position, I haven't had to do any trimming yet but I will a little on the the trans mission ears that stick out, On the passenger side the tube are real close to starter so I will use some type of heat there or and mini starter

Re: Dynatech MuscleMaxx Headers

Wow. They look great. I just got an email from Speedway Motors saying they cancelled my order for the Dynatech 70-81 Camaro swap headers. They don't make them anymore and Speedway recently sold their last pair. I'll be looking at the Hookers for sure. They've got to be more expensive than the Dynamax. Where did you get them, flamingbig10?

Re: Dynatech MuscleMaxx Headers

wow.....Dynatech dropped them? I just recieved one of their new 2011 catalogs and they listed them in it.

Dynatech also offers LSx swap headers for the '67-'69 Camaro's and the early (pre-'75) Nova's...and I think even the pre '73 Chevelle's, but I don't have the catalog handy.

Re: Dynatech MuscleMaxx Headers

I haven't seen anyone use the other Dynatech's for swap in trucks. I'd love to know how they fit.
Jegs has the 70-81 Camaro swap headers with the 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 step primaries in stock for $400. I might just pull the trigger on those. The Hookers look great but I can't afford to drop $700 on them right now.

Re: Dynatech MuscleMaxx Headers

You're right. I just called FedEx and had them turn the shipment around to Jegs. softballnrd27, I owe you a beer. You probably just saved me 40-50 bucks in shipping that I would have had to pay if they had gotten all the way to my house. Thank You!

Re: Dynatech MuscleMaxx Headers

Not a problem, I was going to get the steps too but when I looked at the part number it was SBC not LS. I have only been able to fnd the 67-69 part number but I don't know if they will fit or not. Good thing is that I have 6 months to wait.

Re: Dynatech MuscleMaxx Headers

several stepped ones are available for a sbc. Dynatech's available LSx headers are not stepped, and not painted...they come coated only, and for $399. Dynatech's SuperMaxx series for new/newish factory LSx powered cars is also available but they start at like $859!

Part#'s from the Dynatech 2001 catalog for '70-'81 Camaro are:
1 7/8" x 3" LSx coated header- #715-29410 w/3" reducers
1 7/8" x 3" LSx coated header - #715-19410 w/2.5" reducers

Part#'s from the Dynatech 2001 catalog for '67-'69 Camaro are:
1 7/8" x 3" LSx coated header- #715-21410 w/3" reducers
1 7/8" x 3" LSx coated header - #715-11410 w/2.5" reducers

Part#'s from the Dynatech 2001 catalog for '68-'74 Nova (same as 1st gen Camaro?)are:
1 7/8" x 3" LSx coated header- #715-21410 w/3" reducers
1 7/8" x 3" LSx coated header - #715-11410 w/2.5" reducers
