$25 + shipping for 80 (eighty) inches

$89.95 + shipping for 384 (Three hundred and eighty four) inches

From ebay it would be $121 + shipping to get the same amount of molding.

So, you've got atleast 26ft of molding needed. You're still looking at over $100.

Thats if you're a shortbed owner.

A longbed owner would be close to 31ft.

You tell me?

I have done it both ways. Spend the extra money to get the precut body molding and save yourself the aggrivation. But you may want to check local auto body supply stores, they may have the same roll.

Agree. My local paint and body supply store keeps it in bulk. They wheel off how many feet you need. I haven't ever found LMC to be particularly cheap on anything. They simply resell parts that manufacturers make. LMC doesn't make anything. If you can figure out where to buy it without them as a middle man you can save some good money.

not trying to start a war or anything, but thats not an accurate way to calculate the amount of molding as it obviously doesn't go around the entire truck (wheel wells, front).

i was merely asking a simple question in the OP and didn't realize that lmc's roll was 32 feet, thats all

Not attempting to start a war either And I wasn't meaning that as an "accurate" measurement, but overall length of a single cab short bed is what about 16ft? Subtract say 6ft for wheelwells etc that it is not on, multiply by two sides, then add back say 5-6ft for where it wraps around the back and tailgate, and you have got roughly 25ft needed. A little extra is always nice as well. 32ft would probably be just right for a long bed. It would take 4-5 of those 6.5 ft (80") kit's to do your shortbed.

I wasn't trying to be condescending or anything, simply stating that if you walked around the truck and got a rough measurement, it would be easy to see that the ebay molding is not that great of a deal unless you had just a fender or a door to repair.

Not to mention id you bought multiple 80" rolls to do the job, you would possibly wind up with multiple unusable scraps, rather than cutting exactly what you need off the 32ft roll.

My longbed's 18ft long. Add how wide the tailgate is and subtract the wheel openings and there you go.
