finding block and head numbers
where can i find the stamped #s? on 1982 c10, did this trucks come with 350 v8s from factory?

One spot to find the stamped block numbers is on the back of the motor where it hooks to the bell housing

There is also a small pad that sticks out past the head right behind the alternator, this is where the suffix codes are. This link will help you out
