Oil Sender
Ok i bought the stock oil sender and its kinda big to fit right there by the distributer. Where else could it be put out of the way ( 82 K20 350 )

Big, the sender you got is for guages. If you have idiot lights it won't work. Look down by the oil filter, thats where the sender goes with guages. Depending on application, the sender by the dist is probably for an electric choke heater. Jim

1984 K20 350M engine with 465,000 miles. Well, it's finally done!! Almost 2 years of work, but it was really worth the effort. Little stuff left to do is mount winch, wet sand & buff out and build belly pan\running boards. Body work takes lots and LOTS of beer!!!! have same kinda issue.
my guage was reading real low. someone suggested changing the sending unit. so i did this....and its still eading the same. doesnt seem to move??? |

you can get a angled fitting that will put the sender away from the distibuter it 45s away from it.

Went through this when I first got this C-30. Agree that there wasn't enough clearance so opted for this solution in brass. One straight and one 45 degree fitting and it worked.
 Still recall it was not easy with so little room to even turn a wrench and yes it just barely clears the distributor...but it did and that is all that matters.  Mark

My sender is a bit bigger than that. And the book showed the same sender for the 350 and the original Diesel motor
