I have a '63 C10 which unfortunately has a slight rust issue. I just wanted to know if you think it would cost more to have the cab fixed or replace it.

I would say replace. Your cab has issues where they don't normally rust. Remember, rust like that happens from the inside out. I'll bet that there's a lot more that you can't see.

Let us know if there's anything we can do to help. Somebody on this site can help you find what you need. I wish you were closer, because there's a very nice '63 cab in a wrecking yard by where I work. Desert truck, zero rust.

Can't really afford to get another cab right now but looks like I'll probably have to buy one from someone out west and have it shipped here when I do get one. I've thought about selling the truck several times after finding new rust areas but at the same time I don't really won't to get rid of it. It has a good running motor and trans, they just need new gaskets. I've thought about trading it for a 90's model Silverado or Sierra several times b/c this is my daily driver so I'd probably be better off with a newer truck. I've had it for 7 1/2 years and replaced alot of stuff on it, probably around $3000-$4000 worth, still have all the receipts in a box. Just gets discouraging finding more and more rust every now and then plus needing to have the leaks fixed but not having the money to get them fixed.

I am not sure where you are in Ga, but there was a guy on Craigslist off I-20 close to Alabama that was selling a 62 truck and an extra cab that had all the body work already done to it. I will see if I can find it.

Too bad, I've got a cab in the forsale section. But it's a 4-5-6 cab.
