Got some new stuff.....
I got some new stuff for my truck recently. This thing runs a lot better now! got a new hei distributor, performer intake, another new waterpump ( cheapo warranty), and a new set of BF Goodrich Radial T/A's 2 255/60/15 and 2 275/60/15's. I have decided to order the six lug disc and 2.5 inch lowering spindle kit. before I order the kit does anyone know who has the best price and is there anything else I need that doesn't come in the kit.
oh, my vacum advance wasn't working on my old hei and it the timing was backed way way way down. lol that's the best thing I have done to my truck yet! I can leave a peg legged mark all the way through first now by mashing the go pedal.

LOL longhorn! I didn't think of that....
stelth, I don't know about the 285's but, I do have 255/70/15's all around on my 8 inch rallies and I didn't think they would work with a 4 - 4 1/2 front drop since I am going to be dropping the front down another 2 - 2 1/2 inches with the disc brake kit. I'll be mounting and balancing them at my dad's shop tomorrow so, I will get a few pics.

You may well have problems there.
I know with my 275/60s I have one tire that rubs the fender well just a bit. (can't remember which one does it) Keep in mind my truck gettin pretty worn and the bushings are probably all rotted out back there by now. I have no idea what back spacing I have, but the rims are just shy of 10 inches wide though. |

I've gotta pimp the ECE 6-lug disc kit, just because it's what's on my '70
What do you -need- that's not included? With the ECE kit...nothing, really. There's plenty of things that are good to add on (say, balljoints and tie-rod ends) but the kit itself is very complete.

Thanks for the heads up longhornmail, I do have a new set of trailing arm bushings to install, I just don't have a big enough bar or strong enough impact to break the bolts loose! If i run into problems I will install those damn bushings. thanks man.
