Finally got a picture of it. Just thought it was kinda cool....

This truck is sitting near someones shop in a near by town. I've wanted to get a picture of it every time I pasted by but never had a camara. I decided to use the cell phone to get a couple today. I know nothing about this truck like who owns it and if it's for sale or not. Nobody is there at the shop anytime I ever go by there. I just keep thinkin; (man that would be such a cool parts hauler). If you wondering what the lettering on the door is, It says... (For use by U.S. Government; DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY).. So anyway, I just thought I'd share.

That looks like a 1 ton panel. I saw one in perfect shape when I was looking for my 'burb. I think the frame rails are bigger and they are definately longer.

I didn't get to look at the truck long. But from what I could tell every single body panal was in perfect condition. And as for rust I didn't see any at all. It seems other than the faded white paint this truck is cherry. I'm hopeing I can catch the guy who owns it or someone who knows him around that shop. I'd like to find out if it's for sale or not.

A clean well perserved vehicle, must be low mileage, plenty of white paint still on the steering wheel and original 17" split rims.

I'm not exactly sure. It appeared to be a plugin outlet to me.

Yes. I agree. My opinion on this truck is the it has been a well maintained gently used service truck all it's life. And I have an update on the shop it sits next to. I was talking to my wife about this truck and she said the city bought the shop some what recently for a fleet of ambulances they will be keeping and maintaining there. So it seems to me that the truck is actually owned by the city. I'm still going to ask around though. Ya never know unless ya ask.

lLooks like a plug to connect a set of custom jumper cables. I had a similiar set up like that connected to a Hot Shot mounted in the front of my service truck next to my compressor. On another note I don't think I've seen a steering wheel in such good condition. BUY BUY BUY

Re: Finally got a picture of it. Just thought it was kinda cool....

I first posted this truck in 1/9/09 and as of now the truck still sits in the exact same spot and has only moved once. I never did get a chance to stop and ask about it. It would be such a cool project but since then I have aquired several other projects and have no room for it. But now that this thread had reminded me of it, I may just stop by this weekend and ask just for the hell of it.
