80s with a 2000s step side bed
Anyone seen or have pictures of a 2000's step side bed on a late 80s Chevy or GMC truck?
Wondered if it fits or how it might look.

Yes, me too. I like how the rear of the fender flows to the rear without the extra step of the 90s models. I saw one somewhere on a 67-72 style and looked good on it also.

Re: 80s with a 2000s step side bed
I'm not real good with photoshop but here is a quick one I came up with. colors are a bit off because I had to color correct a yellow bed to try and match the red.

I think you would have to narrow the bed slightly for the bottom to line up. The 1999+ trucks are a bit wider I believe.

looks square in the front and Round in the back, like you stuck two trucks together

Re: 80s with a 2000s step side bed
There is a dually in the for sale section with a 2000 up bed on it . Not exactly what you are asking but it will show you how the cab and bed align. You will have to imagine the rest.

Re: 80s with a 2000s step side bed
Here is a couple shots I have save over the last few years. Not the 2000 bed, but 88-98 beds. Not bad, better than the later I think.

Re: 80s with a 2000s step side bed
The dually is really bad, but I don't think the step sides would be that bad if you could match the lower curve of the cab profile.
I like the light blue newer design over the earlier ones with the rear step.
