What is growing on the top of the engine.
I have a engine that has been sitting for a year under a hood. It looks as though some kind of crusty calcium is growing. What is this? How do I clean it? Does someone make a spray?

Is CLR safe for the top of an engine?

Re: What is growing on the top of the engine.
CLR is pretty mild, I wouldn't have a problem with it as long as it's rinsed off good.
