it seals against the hood forming a "box" around the filter...allowing only directed "cold" air in.

thanks guys! and yes thats the design plan on the heat shield.... i had to modify it a little to make it work

![]() HAPPY EASTER GUYS!! i got a little done after work today. i've been sanding down and smoothing the black A/C box and getting ready for paint. i also started looking at the doors again and decided to take a wire wheel to the jambs... i got off all the extra seam sealer from the factory so they will be nice and smooth! ![]()
