Door Weather Stripping

Could someone please post a picture of their single wall top to door glass weather stripping where it goes over the drip catcher. I've got new seals and that looks pretty straight forward, but I also have a set of drip catchers to install and I don't want to figure it out the hard way (by doing it wrong the first time). I take it the drip catchers do in first then the stripping goes on top of them. I would use the weather strip glue on the top. and then when I remove it the drip catcher would go stay on the top?

A close up pic. of that area would be great.

I did a search but the only pics I found were not displaying (X).

Nice try 70CST. I really thought this would be an easyone for somebody....guess not. Is nobody running the drip catchers? I had them on a previous '72 Jimmy and I thought they worked quite well.

I thought I would take a picture of the area I am talking about. My top is off but I would prefer to see a picture of this area with the top on and the drip catcher installed,,,,,please?

Wow... I hadnt seen that before. So... everytime you remove your single wall top, you have to thread that aparatus in there and screw it down... or am I just looking at it wrong?

Ya, pretty much. On my last Blazer I just left them attached to the top so I had to put the two screws into the window frame every time I put the top on. Not a big deal really for me since I usually just take my top off in the spring and put it back on in the fall.

The two screws that thread into the window frame need to be removed before top removale.

Are those deflectors the same for a double wall top? Thats how I have mine set up and it leaks.

To be honest. I think the tops leaked from the factory.

What kind of weatherstip adhesive are you guys using? I used the black 3M stuff and it only lasted a little while before all my weatherstrip came off. What kind is the best for lasting? Thanks, Jeff.

I used the black loctite kind and the 3m stuff. The loctite seems to hold a little better.

I have found that the weld wood contack cement beats everything else for ease of use and holding.

are you putting it on both surfaces, letting it tack up, then assembling it? That's the way it was described on My Classic Car...
