New to site, have a question....

Will the cab mounts on a 63 frame line up with the cab support mounting holes on a 64-66 cab?
I have a 63 SWB with some serious rust issues but have a chance to buy a 65 cab and a complete 65 LWB with fewer rust issues. Was considering purchasing the newer truck and doing a cab swap if the mounting points will line up. Appreciate any info on this question.

To the best of my knowledge 60-62 frames are different than the 63-66. I would say you should be fine, but not 100%. I'm sure someone will chime in soon. BTW welcome aboard.

Re: New to site, have a question....

The 60-62 frames have torsion bar suspension and that makes the cab mounts have to be inward appx. 6 inches from where they are on the 63-66 cabs. Truthfully, the 63-66 frame is probably better, or at least more user friendly. You can't go very low with the 60-62 frame because of the torsion bar keys, unless your going with drop spindles and springs...I am in the middle of putting my 61 on a 66 frame and all I really had to do was drill a couple of holes...

Yes a '65 cab will bolt onto a '63 frame without modification. The same goes for the rest of the body parts.

Oh, and welcome to the forum
