volt a drop
So I bought my truck with a couple of ceramic blocks labeled Volt a drop. I know these are supposed to drop the 12v to 6v. But I need to know how there work or some installation instructions. When I take a volt meter to any of the wires, They all read 12v not sure what is going on. Can anyone help out on this?
There are 6 holes in the block all numbered. Any idea what this is? Any help is appreciated |

Re: volt a drop
Sounds like a Runtz type resistor that has 2 wires and should be a 12v power in and 6v power out. These are limited to use for 6v gages with a very low amp draw. Usually 1-3 amps maximum. They would be used on the Gas gage and the water temp gage, if electric, and the oil gage, if electric. The Amp gage does not get one. I don't know what the holes are post a picture
