i think your wheels look good as is. I'd use that money for something else.. if your not happy with the chrome/polished, maybe you be better off selling them as they are and getting the ones you really want. jmy.2

Black chrome looks like a charcoal metallic gray with some luster to it.
Eastwood and Columbia Coatings both offer a black chrome.

You could also look into translucent colors over aluminum or chrome as someone else mentioned. Translucent black over chrome is a nice looking option.
