Different Types of Steelies

I just bought these steelies and im having a little trouble ID'ing them. What Year/Model are these and what are they usually referred to as?

Also, what types of dressing would I be able to throw on them (caps, rings, bullets, etc.)?

I agree with Jimmydean... I think the only style cap u can use is the kind that goes behind the wheel that covers the front hub bearings. There are plenty of styles out there for that. My truck had those caps when he had it back in the day, it had an attachment for spinners also.

yep, concur centerlines. I believe the only cap would be the original that got pushed thru from the inside and poked out thu the hole - i.e. no contact with the lugs, etc - just a bump (kinda like tha American Racing hub cover you see on Torque Thrusts and Daisys, etc). (something like in the pic - these are centelines). I do not believe there is any "normal" way to mount a stock cap on there unless you make your own way somehow. If they fit, then a 6 lug rally cap should at least fit over the lugs as long as you can maybe tap 3 holes for the cap to be held down by the stock screws(?) I've never seen plain steel centerlines, I thought all theirs were spun aluminum or chromed steel.

Thats exactly what I had in mind, bullet caps going through the center of the rim. Something like these; the seller even mentions a buyer who used them for Centerlines, although Im having a tough time finding some with 4 1/4" bore.

Where would I find a better selection of caps of all sorts and sizes, im finding eBay's not so good when finding stuff for this truck?

Im pretty sure they are knock offs, but theyre 15x8, straight, and I got them for 40 bucks. Im happy.

If im looking to mount Trim rings on them, how would I go about measuring for them? Do they come in so many different sizes (all 15inch) to accomodate various lip sizes, or to accomodate personal preference. Would a 15 x 1 3/4" fit the same as a 15 x 2" ring?

You should be able to run these centers like on Rich 5150 69's truck. The newer Silverado has a little different center cap that is that should work too. I'm not sure how he mounted his but normally you need special lug nuts with the old style thread pattern with the threads on the front for black lug covers (his are chrome so maybe mounted differently).

Seems like those were sold by cragar in the late seventies/early 80s, I think they were shown in black in the magazine ads

You could drill and mount clips to hold a dog dish hubcap similar to what Delmo does on his wheels. Doesn't seem too difficult.
