Radiator Fan shroud help
My 1990 4x4 350 Suburban with a/c, has what is obviously a non stock radiator. The shroud is pretty much jury rigged. I believe it is the original shroud. The radiator is 19 x 28.25 x 2.5 which according to lmc is a 4 row for the 454 from various years from 73 to 87 depending on options. The 2 piece shroud in the vehicle now, has clearly been cut in order to get it close to mounting right. What kind of shroud do I need to use to get everything to fit, and work correctly?

Re: Radiator Fan shroud help
If your going to keep the radiator I would get a shroud for a 1990 454 suburban or better yet just install electric fans .

Re: Radiator Fan shroud help
Definitely keeping the radiator. Just had it completely renewed, so it's basically brand new. Electric fans are something I've considered. Just wanted to confirm that using a 90 454 shroud would actually work.

Re: Radiator Fan shroud help
I would highly recommend a dual fan set up. It will help out your engine a whole lot. But the 454 shroud will work and it should fit over your bigger rad.

Re: Radiator Fan shroud help
Probably going to do the ls1 fans. Just don't have the spare change right now to do it.

Re: Radiator Fan shroud help
So I now have a 454 shroud, but I don't have the panel that goes between the radiator brackets to completely seal the shroud to the rad. Anyone have a source and/or part numbers for this?
