Need a little help with 1981 C10 battery drainage

Need some help with determining whether my battery drainage is in the alternator, starter, or the wire harness leading from the bus-bar to these components.

I isolated the problem using a test light conected from the negative cable to the negative battery post.

when I dis-connect the starter wire from the Bus-Bar and completely dis-connect the wires from the alternator the test light goes off.

If I'm not mistaken the battery power flows to the starter selnoid, alternator and the bus-bar which power the ignition and all other components.

I took alternator to Autozone and had it tested, they told me the alternator pass the three test they ran on it.

With the alternator passing the test, is it safe to assume the drainage is in the starter selnoid or wiring harness from the bus-bar.

How do I determine which of these components are causing the drainage??

It may be something else on the same circuit. Do the same testing but try with the fuses taken out one at a time for ignition etc. systems. This would help narrow it down as well if it's something possible other than the starter or alternator.

79Big 10 use the same method I do . Hook everything back up and pull the fuses one at a time . If the light goes out you have found the circuit to look into. If not , reinstall the fuse and move on to the next one .

one way is to disconnect the neg. batt. cable and hook up a multimeter in line between the cable and the batt. watch the draw on the screen and start unhooking the stuff you think might be causing the drain, when you unplug something and the drain goes away ta da you've found it

This evening I'll pull all the fuses, one at a time and see if I can locate the circuit causing the drainage, I'll let you know my finding
