'75-down in California how rare are they getting?

I don't know about the rest of the state, but finding smog-exempt '75-down C10s in Orange County in any condition have gotten real hard to find.

I was curious if any of you guys in the other counties have noticed this?

They are more common in other states bro. Around here as you know pre 76 are plenty around but they want an ARM and leg for a pos.

I have a feeling most people that have them are really holding onto them, just because they know that anything newer means playing the smog game.

To be honest, I rarely ever see a 73-74 or 75-76 era truck around here in Texas either. When I do see a round headlight truck, it seems like it's always a 77-80 and you can include mine in that. Most square bodies I see around here are 81+ trucks.

On top of all that, it's even rarer to see a 67-72 driving around but we know there's a quite a few out there.

I have a feeling these older trucks are tucked away in garages as weekend toys.

Took me about a month to find my 75 in the Bay Area. Last time I checked (a night or two ago) there were a lot of 77s and up for sale.

Yup, I never see round headlights driving much in Houston if ever. I had a hard time finding my 76 which is one reason I decided to keep/restore it.

I'm sorry I guess I should have been more specific. I should have said 4x2 short Fleetsides. It looks like there's tons of pre 75s out in the IE, but I don't have any interest in a 4x4, or a longbed.

That one reason I'm picking up a 73 this week, just for the frame and a few other goodies. They are becoming a sheltered item in Cali. Next step it to find a nicely hot rodded 70, 80s and buy it for 10 cents on the dollar to put my frame under.
