Really?!? So a bus or motor home would have 2 setups like that in the rear? I thought it looked kinda bad for the bags cause the way there kind of in a bind when there completely aired up.

It's a bag set-up that uses a pivoting fulcrum to gain travel vs the standard 1:1 ratio installations. Porterbuilt did a similar set-up in a build a few years ago for a Vette IRS....

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

The set-up is usually called a 'Rocker-Arm' mounting arrangement. I know No Limit also uses one for their 'Big-10' chassis under their Silver Bullet pick-up. By laying the shock down @ an angle, you gain shock stroke & can also really tune for a super soft ride vs. a traditional vertical arrangement....

Oh ok sweet, thanks for all the info im gonna have to look into it, id love to have a setup like that. And you dont think it has any negatives affect on the bags when thre aired up at an angle like that? I plan on drivin my truck some so the set ups not going to be just for looks like on some of these trailer queens you see. The farthest ill probably drive it is 4 hours north to the goodguys show in fort worth.

Re: Can some one tell me what kind of setup this is?

most of the time when I see this setup, its on a vehicle with independent rear suspension. IMO it doesn't make sense on a straight axle. it would just take up more room.

It can take up more room depending on how the pivot & springs are arranged (No Limits approach is less intrusive than PB's above set-up). For the straight axle, it offers more flexibility/adjustability when choosing spring rates & shock length.

Some guys really like the 'mechanics' or looks of the set-up. You just need to have the 'horizontal' space to pull it off. Personally, it's an over-kill set-up for a daily driver type vehicle.

You read me like a book lol Thats exactly how i feel. I think its so awesome lookin and i dont ever see them thats why i want one! And well my truck will by no means be a daily. I have my 96 impala for that but there are Plenty of weekend shows around here and the occasional trip to austin and dfw.

How much you think a setup like the one in the vid would cost? I was set on the pb dropmember rear until i saw that vid lol

That set-up in the video clip is custom. You'd need to contact the builder for accurrate info on costs. Best recommendation I can give is to contact Nathan @ Porterbuilt & see what a set-up like he built can be done for. That should give you a rough idea of quality, pro-built (safe), stuff.
