New guys. Got a few things to ask...

Ok so I have been looking around on here for some time. Lots of good info and nice trucks. I just picked up a 65 long bed a few weeks ago. The old 230 is on its way out. Lots of blow by... Anyway, A freind of mine gave me a 250 165hp mercruiser engine out of his boat. He pulled it last winter to put in a SBC. It runs great. I know there are some differances in marine and auto engines. Im just not sure what they are.
Will this engine work in my truck? I really want to turbo it and put a 5 speed behind it. I really want to do something different with this truck as its my daily driver.
Also where is a good place to get wiper parts? I am in need of a wiper transmission and arms.

Thanks, Clay

if i remember correctly the marine engine has a water cooled intake and exhaust system, so you would have to replace them with automotive type parts other than that it should bolt right in

Yeah thats what I thought. Thanks. The intake and exhaust mani are gone already. Will the one from my 230 work on it?

I bought wiper arms for 63 at O'reilly's. Not the cool, chrome jobbers, but the fling water just the same adn were only about 25 bucks for both. Oh, when you turbo that thing, you gotta post some pics of it!!
