need b pillar help

What to do about this, the piece that the front corner of the floor welds to is rusted away. It also supports the top of the torque box brace. Is this something I have to fabricate myself?

Re: need b pillar help

Your best bet would be to find a good used one somehow. I don't believe they are reproduce and would be very difficult to fabricate.

Re: need b pillar help

There's a lot going on in that area, as hard as it's going to be...finding a factory part to replace it will give you the best end results.

How is the rest of the tub?

Re: need b pillar help

The rest of the tub is average for an east coast truck but the more I rip into it the more I find past repairs. looks like most repairs were done before repo panels were available. Here's some more pics.
jaros44sr, That would be great if you had them, let me know if you do. John

Re: need b pillar help

Well done! Still in rochester, should be home tonight. Parts look like they fit well. Are you buying torsion boxes for it?

Re: need b pillar help

Hope you need the passenger side, as that seems more complete in the area I think you help in....

As Vt says there is alot going on in that area lol(understatement)

Also have some bed patch sections left, not much, but some

Re: need b pillar help

Yes, boxes and everything else I could find while 2003 silverado a I were at Carlisle, I even picked up a pass side repop shortbed bed side.

That's the side I need, the passenger side. Also could use some bed patch panels. All the rust in the bed is in the front corners, the rest is in nice condition. Here's some more pics. I'll send you a PM.
