I think I'll have to move up through the ranks a bit before coming to OK to coach! I coach a travel team of 15 year olds and a high school varsity team. I get paid, but sure couldn't make a living of it. I am a much better coach than I am a truck builder, if that counts!

OK, On to the next question. Does the rear cab support get spot welded to the corner of the cab like later years> I don't have enough of mine left to tell.

Also, does it make sense to try the fitment of the door before putting the rocker on?

No, it all needs to be in place to check gaps. Tack weld and/or use self tapping screws to keep everything in place to check gaps. I say as far as the first question if it looks like it needs welded weld it. I was going to go out and look at mine today but didn't make it out there. If you have a pic circle and post your concern.

I think deciding if it needs welding is half the problem. There's not enough left of the support to tell how it was fastened. I'm going to sand the back side of the cab down tonight to see if there is evidence of spot welds.
