Question for cpp front spring drop users
Yesterday I put a set of rear 4" lowering springs on my suburban. Right now it looks ridiculous because it still has the stock springs up front.
I have 4 1/4" between the bump stomp area metal and 2" in between the rubber bump stomp. I have a set of 2" lowering springs/shocks back-ordered from cpp but I'm wondering if they'll be low enough to level out the car. I imagine I could call up and change them to 3" no problem. Just looking for opinions on the springs from anybody that has used them. If you could tell me how much room is left between your bump stops after using the springs, I may be able to get a good idea as to how the truck will sit after installing the springs. Thanks-Bob |

Re: Question for cpp front spring drop users
I would proly go with the 3"ers myself....and modifiy or remove the bumpstop mounts all together while you have the a-arms dropped.
This would get you a nice ride.

Re: Question for cpp front spring drop users
IMO ..I would use 2 inch dropped spindles, and a 2 inch dropped spring...I used the 1 inch spring with mine and i wish it was one inch lower

Re: Question for cpp front spring drop users
Looks like you should keep the 2 inch dropped springs and dropped spindles then it should sit real nice! Plus you will have a good ride.
Btw anytime you lower you will sacrafice some driveability. Oh and once you start lowering, you usually want to go lower. It's a disease.... Awesome looking sub!

I've searched quite a while and thought about it. It's just not in the cards right now money wise. I'm figuring next winter if I'm lucky. |

Re: Question for cpp front spring drop users
Thanks for the kind words. I can't take credit for it though.
Do you think there is a big ride difference in the 2"vs 3" springs. I imagine their spring rate is different. Besides the obvious 1" less spring travel available in space between bump stops. I'd think it would be hard to notice with the right shocks. |
