I am installing 2.5 drop spindles but am debating on getting 1 or 2 inch drop springs. I think a 4.5 drop will look better, but am a little concerned about clearance and all that. Any input and pics would be appreciated.

The truck in my avatar has 4 1/2 drop in front.

the easy way to determine how much drop you want and how the ground clearance will be is to crawl under the front crossmember with a ruler and measure how much clearance there is now and SUBTRACT

Front is 15x7 inch wheel with 3 1/2 back space. 235/60/15 tire
Early Classic 2 1/2 drop spindle, Summit Racing brand 2 inch spring

Rear is 15x8 inch wheel with 4 1/4 back space. 275/60/15 tire. Early Classic 4 inch drop spring ( or Eibach 4 inch spring, I had both and switched them out at one time).

Absolutely no rub, bump, clank, or any bad issues whatsoever. Fit great.

Your truck sets just right!Not sure what drop is on the front of my suburban.It has 2.5 drop spindles,not sure about spring but it is low in front.The back is to high,it is a 3"drop.Has more rake than yours.Looks like I need a 4",or air bags!

Cool truck. Thanks for the pictures. Im definately going with the 4.5 drop. Ill be running 17" rims (hopefully) so Ill have to get lower profile tires. I hope youll be showing that truck at the Goodguys show, Id like to see it up close.
