What Electric Fans?

I'm doing a ls swap on a 74' C-10 and want to use a stock style electric fan setup. I want it to look factory and fit on the stock radiator. What fans are you guys using and if you have pics of your setup please post them. I've heard a few people say the camaro fans work but I have never seen them. Any help would be great!

Re: What Electric Fans?

i used an F-body Radiator and Fans. it fits great and can be wired in thru the PCM to control them.
In traffic or drive thru it gets to 210 where one fan kicks on, I never hear the second one come on, other wise it stays at 190.

Re: What Electric Fans?

I have the harness built for them. I will probably go with the camaro fans, I just wanted it to look stock as possible.

I really like the way that looks. I was going to go with the ebay gut but now I'm thinking otherwise. I wonder if it would cool while towing a boat up a canyon

Re: What Electric Fans?

I like it with the covers on it

As for cooling while towing up a canyon, I might set the fans to come on sooner and see what happened. I dont see why it wouldnt, how much LARGER are the 2500/3500 radiators now? I would be more concerned with trans temps than coolant temps. and that should be controlled as well with the right trans cooler.

They are from Rick's Radiator in Azusa, CA. They are a steal at $239 for 2 12" Spal fans mounted in an aluminum shroud made specifically to fit the 67 - 72 4 core radiator. Their number is (626)967-7518. Rick said that he can make them in just a couple days, or you can go to the Pomona swap meet and they have them on hand (and save tax).

Where did you get the air filter setup? I like it.

Re: What Electric Fans?

If anyone is still wondering, I ended up using the fbody fans. They fit perfect and look like they came factory that way
